PEOPLE WATCHING

Hi Everyone!

It's Sketchbook Tuesday!  I pulled my sketchbook out at the airport the other day and sketched a few people while waiting for a flight to Atlanta, fortunately no one was paying attention.  After arriving at the Atlanta airport and tracking down my next gate on the next concourse over via a tram ride and several escalators and at the very end and LAST gate of the concourse I was finally able to sit, catch my  breath and pull the sketchbook out again.

People fascinate me, especially when traveling.  Don't you love to watch people in an airport? I love it and it sure makes the time go quickly.  So, being a people watcher by nature, but not necessarily a people drawer,  I just try to get the essence of people (something that catches my eye) down on the page.  Sketching people is challenging because they move positions or shift their poses so often it is almost impossible to get a good sketch.  But, I enjoy the challenge of working people into a painting or drawing.

Gather your art supplies and go People Watching today!

Happy Sketching!
Suzy

You sketch people better than I do! Since you and Bonnie started this blog, I borrowed a sketch book from C and have tried my hand at a few things. J said my sketch of S looked like a girl! Uh-oh...better try again :)

Anne, happy we can inspire you to draw! Maybe your Grandmother R's drawing genes are in you!! Drawing people is challenging. Keep practicing and I'd love to see your drawings. xoxo

Love your 'people doodles'.
Especially like the nice 'color wash' you gave them. ;) Each one so different.
