Found Basket...Now what?

Hello Everyone!
Found this basket at Goodwill, $1.99. Now that is a bargain anyone would have trouble passing up, right?  Love that it has a blush of pink on the outside.

The blue and white gingham check lining was filthy. I ripped it out, but kept the pieces to make another pattern.

Now what? Still waiting on an idea to come to me.
Yes, it definitely needs to be relined with a more feminine fabric to go with the pink, perhaps even something as simple as muslin would look lovely?  Eventually this basket will find a home on a shelf in the studio and be designated for storing craft items. I'll keep you posted.....meanwhile if you have any ideas, send them my way!

Hope you are having a wonderful day today!

Hi Jackie! Thank YOU for stopping by my blog! Maybe we are neighbors and don't know it! Wouldn't that be a hoot? Paint, ribbons and flowers are three of my favorite things! I'll post photos soon, so be sure to check back!

When are you going to unveil the basket?! Have you repurposed it yet? What about spray painting it, too?

Hey Anne! You know me...the basket is in the works pile. I hope to work on it this weekend. Right now, my plans are to leave the pink/cream color of the original basket, add a lining of some sort with a bit of a frill. Have to wait and see!

Hey Amy! That's a terrific idea to use the basket for files. I'm thinking it would make a nice place for patterns.
